SEA-SL - GRID-CONNECTED SOLAR PHOTOVOLTAICS PROJECT
december 2016 development work in sri lanka
The Electricity Act 2007 of Sri Lanka has paved the way to solve the country’s power problems. It has already created a competitive environment by opening access to existing transmission and distribution networks to transmit electricity across regions and allowing captive power involving renewable energy.
Its timely adoption has been a positive step to the dissemination of renewable energy as a whole. Accordingly, the MOPE has mandated itself to promote a takeoff of cogeneration and renewable energy technologies under the tutelage of the Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority(SEA).
